Custom Cowboy Hats Manufacturer & Wholesale Supplier(3 designs)
Western headwear is a specialist category: the shape is defined by a blocked crown and a wide, shaped brim, and it has almost no tolerance for inconsistency. SXMX manufactures custom cowboy and western-style hats from our facility in Houjie, Dongguan, China, in straw, paper braid, felt-look and fabric builds, with the crown and brim shape blocked to your specification. OEM and ODM, with decorative bands, badges and patches applied in-house. MOQ is 100 pieces per style, sampling takes 5–7 days, and bulk production runs 15–25 days after sample approval.
Buying guide
Sourcing Custom Cowboy Hats from China
Materials We Work With
- Paper braid and straw — the standard warm-weather western substrate; light, breathable and shapeable
- Wool and wool-blend felt-look — the more formal and more expensive direction
- Cotton twill and canvas — a fabric interpretation of the western silhouette
- Denim and heavy cotton — for a workwear or festival-oriented build
- Brim and crown blocking to a specified shape, including cattleman, pinch-front and flat-crown
Decoration on Western Hats
Surface decoration methods such as embroidery and screen printing do not work on straw or felt-look surfaces. Western hats are branded with applied components instead, and this is planned into the design from the beginning.
- Decorative hat bands — woven, grosgrain, leather-look, studded or concho-trimmed
- Metal badges, pin badges and rivets — applied to the band or the crown
- Woven and embroidered patches — sewn onto the band or an applied fabric panel
- Custom woven label and inner label
- Custom hang tag, custom packaging and a printed poly bag
Why Shape Consistency Is the Whole Product
On a cap, small variations in a seam are invisible. On a western hat, the crown crease and the brim curl are the product, and a 3 mm difference between two hats in the same carton is immediately visible on a retail shelf.
We block the crown and shape the brim to a specification confirmed at sampling, and the approved sample is kept as the golden sample that production is checked against. Our QC team inspects the crown shape, brim curl, band position, edge finish and measurements on finished goods — not on a sample of them, but on every hat. Nothing ships without passing.
MOQ, Sampling & Lead Time
MOQ is 100 pieces per style, including a custom crown and brim shape. Sampling takes 5–7 days after the shape and materials are confirmed; because blocking and shaping are separate production steps, a first western sample may take the longer end of that range.
Bulk production is 15–25 days after sample approval and deposit, with unit price breaks at 100, 300, 500 and 1,000 pieces. Western hats are bulky, so we will quote shipping by air and sea freight and recommend the more economical option for your volume and deadline. Every order ships with photo documentation of goods and cartons.
